A technical issue with the information screens at Gatwick Airport has resulted in staff writing flight information on whiteboards.
Vodafone is the provider of the service, and claimed that a damaged fibre cable was responsible.
It said that 'Our engineers are working hard to fix the cable as quickly as possible. This is a top priority for us'.
An airport spokesman offered apologies to those impacted by the problem, adding that a 'handful of people' had missed their flights.
Passengers have been advised to listen for airline flight announcements or use the temporary flight information boards in the departure lounges.
At the moment, all flights are leaving on time.
